Trade Secret Applications under Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission
Under the authority of the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission Act and the provincial and territorial occupational safety and health acts, the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission formally registers claims for trade secret exemptions and issues decisions on the validity of claims using prescribed regulatory criteria. As part of their review, decisions will be rendered on the compliance of MSDS and labels within WHMIS requirements under the Controlled Products Regulations.
